First Entry of '09

Catching Up
For those of you who don't know, my computer completely died last month. Oh yes. I wanted to cry. I still have no idea what i managed to salvage and what has been lost forever. Thankfully my loving husband ran out and got me a new PC like 2 days later.

We had a week straight of insane snow storms prior to Christmas...followed by a day of 62 degree weather where the insanely high snow piles all melted into a giant muddy mess. (I kid you not, at my parent's home, the snow was taller than I was).

Christmas is rather anti-climatic for me, as MOST everyone in my family just gives out cash. LOL.
I did however get the new PC and a new coat... Bill is suffering under the delusion that if I have a *warm* coat, it will get me to go out sledding with him and the kids. Uhm, yeah, honey I will have the hot chocolate waiting for you when you get back. >> Still not sure what I will be buying with my Christmas funds though. :/

New Years Eve
On New Years Eve, the family went out to a festival. The weather was back down to about 20 and the snow was back on the ground. The festival was set up in local downtown businesses providing shows to entertain~but you spend about half of your time out in the elements walking from destination to destination or killing time. We managed to see a Celtic band, a magic show and watched fireworks in the snow. Watching fireworks in the snow is AWESOME!

Atm, i am totally envying my husband's time off from work...i got one day for New Years.

Almost the same thing happend where I live with the weather, it sucks doesn't it? And I'm sorry to here about your old computer, I know how it feels, that happened to me when I first started dolling(I like just hit my fiftieth, sucky, but still fiftieth doll)

aaaw man i'd LOVE to go sledding :( if i had the time and means to gather peeps to do that i'd be ecstatic XD!! that or skating.

where do you live? we had like the exact same weather experience and it drives me nuts with all that snow then melting then freezing then temperature dropping again to melt then freezing again XD. slush, ice, sluch, ice bah!! and when i say temp dropping i'm talking like plus ten celcius in december in toronto. like spring bluudy thaw XD @__@ *shudders at global warming*

I grew up with fireworks on new years because you can't have them when the sun's out.

Was always fun lying in a snowbank watching them just under the northern lights.

I live in michigan, so i am guessing it was the same weather that cut up to you? I know lots of peeps south uh, west i think of us got hit as well.

Mmmm, til the past few years, we only saw them on the States Independence Day. So, it was a big switch from ultra hot and sticky weather to in the snow. hehe. Worst part about summertime fireworks is the misquitos. ><;;
