WTF Christmas Music
So, yeah, last week, i flip on the damn radio and there was CHRISTMAS music on. Not holiday music, people, they used the word Christmas in the song. Am I the ONLY person out there who thinks it should be a law that you can't play those songs til after Thanksgiving?
*edit* Its been pointed out to me that only the States celebrate thanksgiving...thats not really my point. My point is that retailers and radio stations just keep upping the date of when their displays go up, when the music starts playing 24/7. Now, they all barely wait til October is over before the holiday trees start coming out.
When do YOU start celebrating Christmas/the holidays?
TOYS
I went to the museum today. They have a display they change out like every month...and this month was all about toys! Hmmm.... So, anyway, i got a kick out of seeing first release spirographs and old yo-yos and METAL slinkies, magic rocks, the original Mr. Potato Head-which btw was just the face pieces kids stuck into real vegetables. hehe. I found that really amusing. (Safety regulations about the sharp prongs is what prompted the toy company to provide their own *potato*)
Devious Comments
Thanksgiving is a US only holiday. I do believe other countries should be allowed to appreciate Christmas music during the season. Even if it's before "Thanksgiving"

Got a good laugh out of everyone around, including the deli worker so it was worth seeing Christmas on Halloween. o.O Now they're already selling Holiday cupcakes and cookies and things. I hope people don't let those sit for 2 months. *eww*

I'm sorry but Christmas is too commercialized now days. I swear there's a little shop in this town that's been playing Christmas music since July. *Lyke total eye roll*

Also, (and I've ranted about this before elsewhere) .. they need to stop playing that song "The Christmas Shoes". Are you familiar with that one? Ugh. That is the most depressing song I have ever heard. EVER. It is not proper Christmas music, at all.
